Getting to know me.
My name is Jonathan. I'm 21 right now. I'll be 22 this july 21st. I'm single and I live with my mom and sister. My most favorite animal is the fox. I love the red fox and the artic fox with its white coat of fur. I'm looking for a girlfriend who is the same age or 2, 3 or 10 years older then me. I would like a girlfriend who likes to dress up as a sexy red fox girl. I love to go places. I love to go for walks. If any girl would to get to know me and maybe be my girlfriend. My email address is firstname.lastname@example.org . If I had a furry suit it would be a white dragon with blue eyes. The cartoon furry girl that I have a major crush on is Carmelita Fox. She is a fox woman police officer. She is on the video game Sly Cooper. Current Mood: excited

Wolf-proof Fencing for Genesis Wildlife at Beech Mountain
Mods, please pull if this isn't allowed :-)
My daughter sent out an e-mail to her friends and fellow athletes in fastpitch- I told her I'd post this to LJ. It concerns the wildlife sanctuary here on Beech Mountain, which has a new home at Eagle's Nest, and two wolves donated to them by Animal Control. They need to raise money for wolf-proof fencing of a quarter acre habitat. It will cost them roughly $7000. So, if you have a dollar, or even two...( The story behind the wolves/donation linkCollapse )

Hello, doggy lovers!
I'm Kirai, and ever since I was able to identify a dog as a dog I have loved them. Wolves, foxes, jackals, hyenas, dholes (or asiatic wild dogs), african wild dogs, bush dogs, aarwolves, coyotes... oh man do I love canids.
Dholes have to be my favorite, though. They're fairly unknown, as far as I've seen. No one's heard of them! D8 It's saddening! They're so great. Here, photos for you!
Aren't they just the best? x3 I think so, anyway. Eee! <3
I just found this community through searching "dholes". lol. Obsessed? Maybe. >o>
Oh, I'm also a big wildlife artist. :3 I loooove drawing animals (specially doggies)! Here's my website. http://www.colorsmith.com/kirai/Website/indexx.html
I can't wait to see what the comm. will bring~! It seems like my kind of place. <3 Current Mood: ooh!

Hi guys I'm Antixx a silver coyote from Pennsylvania. I stumbled across this community while searching for furry communities.
Anyway I'm a 5'11" coyote with silver and dark grey fur and a bad smoking habit (in real life too). My fursona also (like myself) is a bit disgruntled and tends to go off on rants which you can see on my journal if you take a look.
I've always had a love for wild canids. Ever since I was a little kid and saw my first wild fox at my uncle's house. It just so happened that I grew up to be a furry as well. Current Mood: dorky

Each of these sources are frequently updated. Keep yourself informed on the day-to-day struggles of wolves, other wildlife, and the environment. (x-posted)Timberwolf Information Network. Wolves in the News.Ralph Maughan's Wildlife News
. This is another excellent source for keeping up to date on wolf issues. As it is a blog, there is a comment section accompanying each post. There are some big name players in the environmental community who comment. There is also the opposition. Mostly intelligent discussion.
Ralph is also the President of the Wolf Recovery Foundation
. Founded in 1986 as a nonprofit 501.C.3 tax deductible organization, the Wolf Recovery Foundation was the first organization in Idaho completely dedicated to the restoration of wolves in the Rockies. His old blog contains ten years worth of wolf news! He keeps it as an archive. Learn the history of the Yellowstone wolves and others, here
Sinapu's blog 'Wild Again!!
' is another fine source for keeping up to date on wildlife conservation in the American West, with a focus on large carnivores. Comments enabled.
If you know of others who would like to keep a watchful eye on the wilderness, and aren't aware of these caches of information, please share these with them. Or if you know of some lively caches of your own, do leave a comment! Thank you. Current Mood: hopeful

I am the very proud owner of two beautiful blue eyed wolfdogs. They are a handful but I love them very much. Thought you'd like to see a few pics
This is Cyrus. He is 6 years old.
Another good pic of Cyrus last winter:
Pictured below is Blue, his daughter and definitely the handful of the two. Cyrus is reserved and almost stately in his demeanor. Blue, however is like a bull in a china shop. Lol, she is always into something and really takes delight in tormenting Cyrus. She is continually challenging him for the alpha role. He takes it in stride (most of the time), knowing full well that he has always been-and will remain-the leader of the pack.
Well, I'm looking forward to getting to chat with wolfdog lovers. Anyone who has a wolfdog realizes they are not like dogs. They are a challenge! By understanding wolves, I have come to live in harmony (usually!) with 2 large wolfdogs and four cats under one roof! Not a common occurance I'm sure. I don't pen my dogs, They do have a pen but they can usually be found lounging on my sofa or quietly sneaking into my bed. I'm glad I joined this forum. I don't know of any other wolfdog owners but myself. It would be nice to share stories, info etc with fellow wolfdog "owners" I put owners in quotes because any wolfdog owner knows..they are the ones that own you! LOL. Current Mood: pleased
